Okay, okay I know … how many more blog posts can you drag this out for Carolanne, but I promise this is definitely the last one! I’m hoping you guys have enjoyed hearing all about my trip though because I’ve absolutely loved writing all about it and hopefully will have gave some tips or recommendations if you’re thinking about going in the future.
Welcome back to my little series where I’m telling you wonderful lot all about my boyfriend and I’s trip to Thailand back in November 2019, if you haven’t read part one already I’ll link it in this sentence.
I promised myself I wouldn’t ramble on so I’m just gonna get straight into it and hopefully not bore you all to death, so here we go.
Hello everyone, so after my let’s face it, pretty deep first post of 2020, I wanted to turn this frown upside down and write about something which is exciting and makes me super happy. In November 2019, Martin and myself decided to continue our little travelling holidays, if you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while you’ll know we went to Vietnam in 2018, I wrote a couple of posts on our time there which I will link in this sentence. Anyway for our next trip we continued the South East Asia theme and went to … THAILAND! I know right, I can’t even believe we actually did it either. Of course I wanted to share our time there with you so I thought I would compile a few posts about our little adventure.
Like Vietnam, we had three weeks to travel and after some planning and research we decided that starting and finishing our trip in Bangkok seemed like the best option. Flights were around £500 each, which we actually thought was pretty reasonable as we expected them to be more, oh we booked with Oman Air who neither of us had ever flown with before so we were a little sceptical but life’s all about the risk right? Jokes, I did some research on Trip Advisor, can’t be hopping on a plane I know nothing about now can I? We also did a lot of research on the weather over there and decided November would be a good time as the rainy season is over but the crazy hot weather doesn’t come until January, and you know your girls curly hair would not withhold that heat!
Well hello there, you guys may not remember me because I’ve been fucking AWOL for the past six or seven months but here I am and honestly, I hope I’ll continue to write on here again but hey my past record shows otherwise!
So I would love to start this post like many of the new year ones I’ve seen and tell you how excited I am for another year, give you all of my resolutions and dreams but truthfully, this isn’t going to be one of those I’m afraid, so if you’re not hear for a pity party then you should probably leave! No I’m totally joking I’m not about all that woe is me but I am just going to tell you all how I’m feeling right now.
From about the age of 13/14 i’ve straightened my hair, it started off with just my fringe … cool I know and then I wanted my entire wig to be sleek and straight. My natural hair is curly and I don’t mean like waves here and there, I mean full on original, ginger Annie curls … if you know, you know!
I literally HATED my hair, the amount of times i’ve looked at another girls hair and wished I had hair like theirs is unmeasurable, believe me, hair envy is real. I remember being little and grown ups would be like “you have such beautiful hair” and “look at those curls” but all I wanted was to have straight hair. I got my mam to straighten it with the iron when I was about 16, yes the iron, i’m old now okay this was ten years ago.
Hey everyone, so today I thought I would stray away from those lifestyle, chatty posts i’ve been doing lately and sit down with you all and give you some info on my experience shopping with Shein.
So if you haven’t heard of the brand, basically it’s just another online shopping site where the clothes happen to be really cheap … bit suspicious I know, anytime you put the word ‘cheap’ with fashion, you automatically think the quality is going to be terrible, right? We’ll that’s exactly what I thought and one of the reasons why I never really bought anything from Shein until recently.
I’ve came to terms with the fact that I have seperation issues and need to be with my boyfriend whenever possible but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t get frustrating at times and gets me down that I depend on someone else to make me happy.
Now, I know this may sound pathetic or weird like ‘oh she sounds like a psycho’, dude, I think that too sometimes, but it’s something that stems from past issues which I won’t get into.
Anyway, this isn’t a woe is me post it’s just something i’m hoping at least one other person can relate too and understand where i’m coming from.
No i’m not pregnant, it’s amazing how many people jump to that conclusion when you tell them you have news, I mean my mam would be thrilled but unfortunately it’s not happening today people.
What I do have to share with you lovely lot however is still just as exciting so here we go … I got a new job! You are looking at (kinda) a soon to be Broadcast Journalist, I know I can’t believe it either.
Hello everyone I hope you’re all having a lovely week! So here we are, my third and final Vietnam post. I’m so sad we’re almost at the end because i’ve absolutely loved reminiscing about my travels in what has definitely been my favourite country to visit so far!
Let’s get into the final three places we explored on our adventure.
